There are seasons when life becomes heavy, prayers seem unanswered, frustration sets in, and you wonder how you can keep going. In “God Has Given Me the Grace to Live,” we are reminded that we are not surviving by our own strength we are being sustained by the grace of God.

Continuing the Fruit of the Spirit series on longsuffering, this message explores the supernatural grace God gives us to endure difficult seasons. Paul declares in 2 Corinthians 12:9, “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” That grace gives us strength to keep praying, worshiping, serving, believing, and standing even when we do not feel strong enough to continue.

Unanswered prayers and seasons of waiting can test our patience and create frustration, but we are encouraged to hold on. We may be in the right season even when it has not yet become our “due season.”

When grace and longsuffering intersect, they birth sufficiency. Whatever the season looks like, God's grace is still enough to strengthen us, sustain us, and help us keep moving forward.
