What do you do when the pressure of life becomes so heavy that you feel like you have nothing left to give? In “My Weakness Is His Strength,” we continue the Fruit of the Spirit series on longsuffering and discover that our weakest moments can become the very places where God’s strength is revealed.
Through 2 Corinthians 12:9, we are reminded that God’s grace is more than favor it is His supernatural power strengthening us through the difficult seasons of life. When we reach the limits of our own strength, His grace gives us what we need to keep moving forward.
Looking at Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane, this message shows us that feeling overwhelmed does not mean we have failed. Jesus experienced sorrow and pressure, yet He continued forward in prayer and surrendered to the Father’s will. Gethsemane reminds us that difficult seasons expose what we have been relying on and teach us to depend completely on God.
When we surrender our burdens to God, He sustains us. Our weakness creates an opportunity for His strength to be made perfect. We don't have to carry everything in our own power. His grace is sufficient.
